Brenda J. Sacratini, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2017.
Born in Altoona, Pa., she grew up in Six Mile Run, Pa. before moving to Akron in 1967. Brenda retired from Bridgestone/Firestone after 37 years of service. She was active in the Methodist Church in Six Mile Run, and was a dedicated member of Firestone Park Christian Church in Akron. Brenda enjoyed golf, attending local theatres, movies, traveling, casino trips and working in her yard.
Preceded in death by her parents, Quarineand Wilda Sacratini, she is survived by her brother, Gary (Deloris) Sacratini of Kentucky; niece, Lindsey Sacratini Jones (Clay) of Kentucky; nephew, Eric; special friends, Nancy Hoskins, Frank and Kathy Walker, Donna Haury; and numerous other friends.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, Ohio; with Pastor Rich Ferris officiating.
Local arrangements Family and Friends will be received for a time of visitation at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until departure at 11:00 A.M. to cemetery.
Burial will be held in Duvall Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Firestone Park Christian Church, 40 E. Wilbeth Road, Akron, OH 44301.
