Zachary Baker Obituary

Zachary Maxwell Baker, 35, of James Creek; passed away on November 01, 2025 due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident.  He was born on November 20, 1989 in Altoona; a son of Penny J. (Wright) Baker of Saxton and the late Matthew R. Baker.

He is survived by his mother, a brother Matthew R. Baker, II (fiancé Kayla Rankin), nephew Matthew R. “Matty” Baker, III, and a niece AvaLynn whom he loved very much and adored them, paternal grandparents Ronald W. and Connie R. Baker of James Creek, maternal step grandmother Brenda Wright of Six Mile Run, uncles and aunts David Baker (Shelly) of James Creek, Adam Baker (Peggy) of James Creek, Curtis Wright (Daisy) of Robertsdale, Tammy Foore (Scott) of Riddlesburg and several cousins whom he loved.  Zach is also survived by his constant companion, his dog Moose, they were inseparable.

Zach was preceded in death by his dad, maternal grandparents Max C. and Linda L. Wright and Aunt Lisa (Territo) Wright.

He was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 2009.  After graduation he went on to get his CDL’s and was a milk hauler, currently employed by Tri-County Bulk Milk Haulers Co. in Everett.

He loved playing the lottery and scratching off tickets.  Growing up he got the name Houdini from his dad, because when it came to work, he would disappear; those who knew Zachary or the family, understood what he meant.
