Wilmer Lashley Obituary

Wilmer "Gary" Ivan Lashley, 92, of Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Pennknoll Village with family by his side. He was born on February 19, 1929 in Artemas, PA; son of the late George and Anna (Brumbaugh) Lashley.  On August 19, 1957, he was united in marriage to the former Christine M. Stewart. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2006.    

He is survived by step-daughter Connie Micatrotto married to Joseph, Las Vegas, Nevada; step-grandchildren Joseph and Justin Micatrotto, Shauna Stanley, Errin Anderson and Jerry Mueller; step-great-grandchildren Joseph “Kai", Rocco, Gemma, and Nova Micatrotto; Brian and Luke Stanley; Victoria, Kayla, Isabella, and Christina Anderson; siblings Joyce Criswell, Everett, PA and Arlene Pittman married to Arland, Martinsburg, PA; niece Cindy Speck married to Ted, Bedford, PA; and nephew Eric Pittman, Martinsburg, PA; and great niece and nephew Becca Speck and Ty Pittman.  

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by twin sister Wanda Lashley, step-daughter Judy Parsons and brother-in-law John Criswell.   

Wilmer was a graduate of Everett Area High School, Class of 1948. He lived and worked in Cleveland, Ohio and Washington, DC before moving back to Bedford County. He retired from the tavern business in Fulton County. Wilmer was a member of the Tavern Owners Association as well as the Everett Wambic Tribe Social Club. He enjoyed listening to music and watching sports, especially his beloved Yankees. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and he especially loved his sisters Arlene and Joyce.  

A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Artemas, PA.
