William Roger Duvall, 87, of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024. He was born February 8, 1936 in Everett, PA; son of the late Clarence Norman Duvall and Virginia Grace (Showalter) Duvall. On June 10, 1955 in Winchester, VA; he was united in marriage to Mamie M. (Sweitzer) Duvall.
Along with his wife of sixty-eight years, he is survived by children Cathy J. Brown and husband Larry, Ft. Pierce, FL; Robin M. Ferrari and husband John, Novato, CA and Roger Dean Duvall and wife Susan, Roanoke, VA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren including Timothy Aaron Brown, Michelle (Ferrari) Pomerantz and husband Jeff, Emma Grace and Alex Duvall.
He was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School Class of 1953.
W. Roger loved spending time with family and friends. He had a love for nature, enjoying fishing, hunting and just being outdoors. This was an appreciation passed on by his father and mother.
He was a longtime bricklayer and mason. He was recognized for his fifty years of membership in the Bricklayers Unions. W. Roger was a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren, where he also served many years in a leadership role. Mr. Duvall was a member of the Everett Sportsmen’s Club, Akersville Cemetery Board and the Juniata Gobblers Association.
Friends and Family will be received on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Everett Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mike Benner officiating.
Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Roger to the Everett Church of the Brethren.
