William A. Robinette

William A. “Bill” Robinette, 72, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Bedford, PA.  He was born on August 13, 1952 in Bedford, PA; a son of the late Scott E. Sr. and Olive (Mills) Robinette. 

After graduating from Everett Area High School in 1970, he then attended and graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College School of Carpentry in 1974.  He met his wife Charlotte (Mearkle) Robinette in high school and they were married in Lancaster, PA in 1974. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Charisse Pavelik of Mount Joy, PA; two grandsons, Mason and Andrew Pavelik of Mount Joy, PA; siblings Joann “Polly” Leader and husband Delmar of Everett, PA; Arlene “Ene” Fluke and husband Fred of Everett, PA; Gerald “Jerry” Robinette and wife Carol of Willow Street, PA; Robert “Mick” Robinette and wife Bonnie “Rachel” of Everett, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son William A. “Bud” Robinette, Jr. and siblings Scott, Jr. “June”, Walter “Hank”, James “Jim” and Donald “Tom” Robinette, Lillian “Bob” Pepple, Doris “Sis” Howlett, Marian “Betts” Giffin, Lois “Peg” Mowchan, and an infant sister Shirley Robinette.

He was a retired construction foreman from High Construction in Lancaster, PA after ten years.  Prior he was employed as a construction foreman by TAH Construction in Lancaster, PA for twenty-five years.

He loved spending time with family and attending any of his grandsons’ events.  He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, watching sports, and traveling. 

Friends and Family will be received on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Bowles officiating.

Burial will be held privately at a later date, and at the convenience of the family at Frame Church, 654 Frame Church Road, Everett, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Road, Bedford, PA  15522.
