William C. Entrekin, 96, of Entriken, PA; passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born on October 25, 1925 in Entriken, PA; a son of the late James F. Entrekin and Anna Grace (Fouse) Entrekin. On August 8, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina he was united in marriage to the former Margaret F. (Fowler) Entrekin; she preceded him in death on February 14, 2017.
He is survived by children James L. Entrekin, Huntingdon, PA; Kim M. Entrekin married to Bonnie, Huntingdon, PA; Stephen K. Entrekin, Littleton, CO; Cheryl E. Shope married to Barry, James Creek, PA and Richard H. Entrekin, Yarnell, PA; grandchildren Kevin Entrekin, Michelle Entrekin, Trey Shope and Trevor Shope and five great-grandchildren.
William was a graduate of Huntingdon Area High School Class of 1943. After high school he went on to serve in the United States Army serving from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. After serving, William became an independent insurance agent with Nationwide Insurance in Huntingdon, PA and was licensed for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Matthews United Church of Christ as well as the Huntingdon V.F.W, American Legion and the Mount Moriah Lodge #300 in Huntingdon. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, golfing and hunting.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 14, 2022 at The St. Matthews United Church of Christ in Entriken from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthews United Church of Christ in Entriken with Pastor Charles “Scott” Decker officiating with Military Honors being held afterward by the Honor Guard.
Burial will be held privately at Entriken Cemetery.
