Wayne E. Conrad

Wayne E. Conrad, 66, of Big Creek Road, Artemas, PA; passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on August 21, 1954 in Berkeley Springs, WV; a son of the late Leo and Vada (Clingerman) Conrad.  On December 30, 1985 in Lebanon Christian Church, Artemas; he was united in marriage to Virginia L. "Ginger" (Northcraft) Conrad.  She preceded him in death on June 3, 2014.
He is survived by children Stacey L. (Kifer) married to Todd Jay, Artemas; Brandon W. Conrad married to Jennifer, Fayette City, PA and Bradley L. Conrad married to Kortney (Beegle), Artemas; grandchildren Dylan Jay, Kierstin Jay, Cash Conrad and Braylee Conrad; siblings Deloris Ray married to Ambrose; Naomi Smith; Roy Conrad married to Connie; sister-in-law Judy Conrad and brother-in-law Ricky Northcraft married to Lenda.
He was preceded in death by brother Ronney Conrad, sister Glenda Hott and late husband John; brother-in-law Wade Sigel.
Wayne occasionally attended Lebanon Christian Church.  He retired from Williams and Sons Lumber in Crystal Spring.  Throughout his life he worked in the logging industry and was a welder.  Wayne was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1974.  He volunteered as a steer leader for the Chapmans Run 4H Club and enjoyed show cattle, farming and hunting.
Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett and on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Christopher Mowry officiating.
Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
