Tracey Lee Ross Fletcher-Godfrey, age 62, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2025 in Everett, Pennsylvania. Born on December 11, 1962 in Windber, PA, she was a complex woman with a heart of gold.
She is survived by her loving family, including husband John M. Godfrey (J M.), children Jonathan “Jonny” Michael Fletcher, Sr.; Lauri Ann Fletcher, Jamie Lynn Duff married to Ryan; stepchildren John M. Godfry, III “Trey” and Erica L. Rauss married to Ron; grandchildren Jonathan Michael Fletcher, Jr., Cameron Fletcher, Alexander Fletcher, Luanna Sault, A.J. Duff, and Jacob Duff; step grandchildren Aiden and Jaxon Rauss; great granddaughter Joanna Hoffmeyer; siblings Patricia Elaine Webb (Steve), Deborah A. Clark (Barry Frye), Sandra Lynn Moss (Barry), Alexander Craig Ross (Sally) and Brian Merle Ross (Donna). Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her fierce and fun spirit, creativity, and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alexander H. and Joanna LaRue (Rummel) Ross and a brother Robert Wayne Ross.
Tracey had a special place in her heart for animals, showcasing her gentle and compassionate nature. Her love for all creatures great and small was a testament to her true character. She would find moments of joy seeing a family of deer in the fields above her house. She also found solace in fishing, cherishing the peacefulness of riverside moments.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Road, Bedford, PA 15522 in her memory.
A viewing for friends and family will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537. A private riverside service will be held where her children will gather to spread her ashes to the wind and water, honoring her final wish.
This intimate farewell will celebrate her life, love, and connection to nature. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
