Theresa L. Young

Theresa L. Young, 91, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 after a four year fight against COPD.  She was born on August 25, 1932 in Flushing, New York; a daughter of the late Frank and Louise Jedlicka.

She and her girlfriend attended weekly dance parties at Fort Totten, NY, where she met her husband of seventy-four years Douglas R. Young; together they have three children Steve Young, Rick Young and Pat Young.

She was a waitress in the Milwaukee, WI area and was an excellent cook.  Most of all she enjoyed September vacations to Europe.  She was an avid reader.

Terry was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Everett. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Derek Fairman officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Theresa to The Roman Catholic Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, 2713 West Chestnut Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
