Susan K. Weaver

Susan K. Weaver, 87, of Elizabethtown, PA; formerly of Saxton, PA and resident of The Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the age of 87 years.  She was united in marriage to William W. Weaver, he preceded her in death on September 16, 2017. 

Susan was born on September 18, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter of the late Roland E. and Margaret (Wandless) Kirkpatrick.  She was a graduate of Langley High School Class of 1955, she received her bachelors of sciences in Math, English, and Spanish from Grove City College and earned her teachers certificate from the University of Pittsburgh.

Over her career, she taught at Avalon School District in Pittsburgh and Tussey Mountain School District until her retirement in 1999.  Susan was a member of Saxton United Methodist Church and the former Saxton Chapter #161 of the Eastern Star, where she served as a Past Worthy Matron and Past Secretary.

She is survived by children David W. Weaver married to Lori (Horton); Lynn W. Sawyer married to Lewis, Jr.; Karen W. Olson; Susan A. Fisher married to Wayne; grandchildren Allison M. Sawyer, Claire E. Sawyer, Sarah A. Cornman, Rachel M. Fisher, Morgan L. McConnell; a brother Thomas A. Kirkpatrick married to Judith and a niece and nephew.

Private services will be held by the family.
