Susan J. (Homler) Rush

Susan J. Rush, 76, of Drive In Lane, Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Home.  She was born on June 16, 1945 in McKeesport, PA; a daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth (Wilkinson) Homler.  On April 3, 1963 in Cumberland, Maryland she was united in marriage to Samuel R. Rush.

Along with her husband she is survived by children Tonya Clark married to Barry, Breezewood, PA; Jeff Rush, Everett, PA; Samuel Rush, Jr. married to Christina, Everett, PA and Bradley Rush married to Linda, Everett, PA; sister Judy Helderlein, Ohio; sister-in-law Darniece Homler McKeesport, PA; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren and her special dog “Adi”.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by brother Harold and twin brother Samuel and two grandchildren.

Susan spent most of her working years in the gift shop at The Post House in Breezewood for twenty years until their closing and then also working at Pennknoll Village as a housekeeper.  She was a talented seamstress in her younger years and an even better cook.  She enjoyed watching Hallmark Movies, her dog “Adi” and spending time with her family.

At Susan’s request there will be no public services.
