Susan E. (Hobernicht) Clapper

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Susan E. (Hobernicht) Clapper of New Enterprise.  She was born on May 24, 1957 in Somerset "Ursina", PA; a daughter to Mildred (Ohler) Hobernicht and the late Harold Hobernicht.

Along with her mother, Susan is survived by her furry son Tut, her siblings Donna Drescher, Joe Hobernicht, Karen Harbold, Sherry Ulsh and Carol Voght and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband John R. Clapper in 2019, father Harold and furry children Weezey, Pat and Junior.

Susan was known for her vocal presence, stubbornness and her love for cats, antiques and country life.

She was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School and Harrisburg Area Community College nursing program.  She worked as a nursing supervisor at The Village at Morrisons Cove until her retirement in 2022.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be held privately at Dry Hill Cemetery.
