Steven L. King

Steven L. King, 67, of Felton Hollow Road, Everett, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his home.  He was born on November 8, 1955 in Everett, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Earl and Martha (Imes) King.  On March 19, 1977 in Somerset, PA; he was united in marriage to the former Sharon Jean (Devine) King. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2011. 

He survived by daughters Gretchen M. married to Kerry Burke of Saxton, Jillian R. married to Jeremy Brown of Saxton; grandchildren Ansley, Mason and River; siblings Beverly married to Eric Easton, Everett; Becky married to Larry Phillip, Berlin; Billie Jo married to Ray Dunkle, Mechanicsville, VA; brother in law Frank Patt, Wellsboro and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister Beth Patt.

Mr. King was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1973 and Williamsport Area Community College.  Steven worked as a diesel mechanic for Cummins Motor in Harrisburg for many years.

Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, working on vehicles, carving and woodworking.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved bragging about his grandkids.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 5-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA and on and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the hour of the service at the church.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the First Christian Church with Rev. Robert Robertson officiating.

Burial at Union Memorial Cemetery.
