Stephen F. Schnably

Stephen F. Schnably, 69, of Bedford, PA; passed away at his home on Friday, January 13, 2023, after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Steve was born on September 17, 1953 in Bedford.  He was the son of the late Tom and Grace (Whetstone) Schnably.

He was united in marriage to Susan (Miller) Schnably on July 12, 1980.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Carly, married to Matthew Stankan and their son Colton of Ft. Belvoir, VA; and a son Cole married to the former Jessica Edwards and their daughter Blake of Bedford.

Steve is survived by two brothers, James Schnably and wife Norma of Cumberland, MD and Joseph Schnably and wife Nanette of Bedford.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Thomas Schnably and Donald Schnably.

Steve was a 1971 graduate of Bedford High School and a 1977 graduate of Bowman Technical School in Lancaster, PA.

He retired from JLG Industries after twenty years of service.  Steve had a love of football of which he played in his younger years and followed in his later years.

He loved hunting with his son, gardening with his grandson and visiting his daughter.  Steve cherished being with his family and their many family gatherings.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 11 A.M. - 1:00 P.M at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren with Pastor Janet Sell officiating.

Burial will be held at Ritchey Cemetery.
