After graduating from Flintstone High School, she worked in the D.C. area as a secretary.  After getting married on March 18, 1966 she was a housewife for many years, cooking, baking and raising her family until she went to work at some restaurants in the area such as Masons Barn, Lindys and later retiring from Bob Evans Restaurant after twenty-five years of service.

She and her husband were longtime members of the Chaneysville Community Church.  They loved to travel places together and often helped people whenever they could.  You would always see them together.  After the loss of her husband she was heartbroken, they were truly soul mates.
