Shirley Barnes Obituary

Shirley Louise Barnes, 64, of Dunnings Highway, Claysburg, PA; passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at home. She was born on October 22, 1957 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late McClellan “Barney” and Betty Mae (Weist) Barnes.

She is survived by children Barbara married to Adam Hoover, Saxton; Mary Rivera married to Edwin, Warfordsburg and Marshall Diehl, Warfordsburg; five grandchildren Nick and Katie Hoover, Sean, Samuel and Shaina Rivera; two brothers Paul and Daniel Barnes.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter Scarlett Rivera.

Shirley worked at various places throughout the years, having worked at Petro Truck Stop in Breezewood, Warner Trucking, Martins in Saxton and most recently at SAC, Inc.

She enjoyed reading and collecting items.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Shirley to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
