Sherry A. (Clark) Verbal

Sherry A. Verbal, 83, of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on April 1, 1941 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Clad and Velva (Baughman) Clark.  On July 27, 1960 in Cumberland, MD; she was united in marriage to Robert N. Verbal.

Along with her husband, she is survived by daughters Kimberley married to Jeffrey Calhoun, Bedford, PA; Vicky married to Joseph Shank, Everett, PA; Cheryl married to James Shank, Everett, PA; and Holly married to Robert Layman, Jr., Everett, PA; nine grandchildren Shane, Jonathan, Jordan, Elissa, Daniel, Douglas, Emily, Bailey and Luke; nine great-grandchildren Caden, Cohen, Charlie, Danielle, Tyler, Parker, Brinley, Emmett, and Ruth.

Mrs. Verbal worked at Lions Manufacturing for several years but loved her career as a mother and homemaker.

Sherry loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished time spent with family.  She also enjoyed reading, sewing, camping, caring for her animals and going to the beach. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Layman, Jr. officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Burial will be held privately at the Union Memorial Cemetery.
