Sherry Heister Obituary

Sherry Kay Heister (Dodson), 48, of Hopewell, died Sunday, January 16, 2022 at her home.

She was born on July 30, 1973 in Bedford, the daughter of William N. and Kay (Snyder) Dodson.

On December 28, 1998 she was united in marriage to Michael Heister.

Along with her parents, she is survived by a sister, Leah (Dodson) Beach, a brother William W. Dodson married to Jackie, a sister Jody married to Kenneth Brown, three grandbabies, four nieces, four nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by former husband Timothy Bollman, a brother Anthony Dodson, nephew Tyler Brown, niece Tory Beach, great niece Sadie Riggs and great nephew Gaiege Dodson.

Sherry was a beautiful, groovy soul who had a kind caring heart. She was a friend to all and would give her last to help anyone in need. She loved caring for children and although she had no kids of her own, was a loving motherly figure to many.

Peep, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed the simpler things in life. She enjoyed animals, especially her pups, watching the snow fall, having long talks, searching for treasures, crafting, music and being together with family. She had a smile that would light up a room and a heart that was one in a million.

A Celebration of Sherry's Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. at Riddlesburg Bible Church with Pastor Ronald Forrester officiating.
