Sheila R. (Mentzer) Clark

Sheila R. Clark, 77, of Clearville, PA; entered into heaven on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Bedford Post Acute.  She was born on May 7, 1948 in Roaring Spring, PA; a daughter of the late Ray Mentzer, Marjorie R. (Ritchey) Mentzer-Robinette and step-father John Robinette.  On February 5, 1965 in Cherry Lane Church of the Brethren she was united in marriage to E. Allan Clark.

Along with her husband, she is survived by a son Jeffrey Clark married to Susie and daughter Joyce Bowen married to Ed; three grandchildren Joelle, Michaela and Richelle; six great grandchildren Ava, Gabriel, Holdyn, Fallon, Hardy and Ridley; two great great grandsons Krewe and a new blessing arriving in November.

She was preceded in death by a great grandson Hoyt Elijah Bowser and a half-brother Larry D. Ritchey.

Sheila was a member of Pleasant Union Church and Clearville Community Church.

She enjoyed listening to bluegrass and country music and spending time with grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 3-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Union Church with Pastor C.J. Bowser officiating.

Burial will be held at Pleasant Union Cemetery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sheila to the American Lung Association.
