Shawn C. Shumaker

Shawn C. Shumaker, 48, of Everett, PA; passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at home.  He was born on January 19, 1977 in Somerset, PA; a son of Fred H. Shumaker of Somerset and Martha M. (Kabina) Miller married to Earl Miller, Jr., of Everett.  

Along with his parents he is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Dawn Shumaker; two grandchildren Luna and Skylynn; paternal grandmother Isabell Shumaker, maternal grandmother Beverly Kabina; siblings Fred Shumaker married to Christy (Clark) and Brandi Leasure married to John; and several nieces and nephews.

Shawn was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan.  He enjoyed building model cars, reading and had a love for animals especially his two cats Lucky and Grim.

He worked at the IGA Foodliner for sixteen years in the meat department.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 12-1:00 P.M. at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Blackstone officiating.

Burial will be held at Bethel Cemetery, Everett.
