Sandra E. (Balcom) Diehl

Sandra Elizabeth Diehl, 57, of Younts Road, Bedford, PA, passed away on Monday, September 01, 2025 at home.  She was born on June 07, 1968 in Van Nuys, CA, a daughter of Gloria Jean (Smith) Balcom of Fresno, CA and the late James Leroy Balcom.  On December 18, 1997; she married Shawn W. Diehl in Everett, Washington.

Along with her husband, she is survived by four children Brittney and her significant other Zachary Novac; Shontine Oeser married to Christopher; Shawn Diehl, Jr.; Brittany Lohnes married to Todd; and nine grandchildren; sister Shelli Sebring and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was a graduate of Apollo High School Class of 1986.  She worked as the store manager at AutoZone in Bedford for twenty years.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, camping, kayaking, dancing, playing pool, singing karaoke and she had a love for horses.   

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 09, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Abbott officiating.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 09, 2025 from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA  15537.

Burial will be held privately at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Diehl to the Akers Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
