Samuel R Rush

Samuel R. Rush, 79, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on January 9, 1945 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Claude and Phyllis (Hoffman) Rush. On April 3, 1963 in Cumberland, Maryland he was united in marriage to Susan J. (Homler) Rush.  She preceded him in death on June 25, 2021.

He is survived by children Tonya Clark married to Barry, Bedford, PA; Jeff Rush, Everett, PA; Samuel Rush, Jr. married to Christina, Everett, PA and Bradley Rush married to Linda, Everett, PA; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a brother James Rush.

Sam spent his career as a truck driver.  He worked twenty years at New Enterprise Stone and Lime and lastly working for Smith Transport until his retirement.

He enjoyed watching westerns and nascar races.  He could be found sitting on his front porch watching the deer with a good cup of coffee.
