Sallie Smith Obituary

Sallie Marie Smith, 74, of Everett, PA; passed unexpectedly but peacefully on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born June 23, 1951, daughter of the late Hubert and Betty Clark, of Everett.

She is survived and eternally missed by her husband Kevin Smith of Everett; united in marriage for 54 wonderful years. She is also survived by two sons: Todd Smith married to Amber, Duncansville, and Dustin Smith, State College; Two grandchildren: Haley married to Kyle, Roaring Spring, and Devin married to Kayla, Duncansville; Three great grandchildren: Kynlee, Rowan, Cohen; her sister Marcia married to Don, Hollidaysburg; her niece Whitney married to Chris, Hollidaysburg, and their two children Kennedy and Connor.

Sallie led a cherished and abundant life, never one to be deterred by roadblocks.  Her wits and smarts lead her through a 45 year long career as a Restaurateur, alongside her husband Kevin, proudly serving the community of Everett, PA from Kelly’s Scenic View Restaurant.  Her strength and fighting spirit lead her through a battle of breast cancer which she courageously fought and won with grace and dignity.  Soon after, Sallie found comfort in helping others with breast cancer; visiting patients in hospitals or their home, providing support and kind words, and sometimes just lending an ear.  We cherish and will always hold close the memory of our Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister Sallie.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc. 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Benner officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the Everett Cemetery.
