Ruth C. (Barkman) Clark

Ruth C. Clark, 80, of W. Mattie Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Bedford Post Acute.  She was born on January 06, 1945 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Alva O. and Lyda B. (Grove) Barkman.  On July 06, 1963 in Everett, PA; she was united in marriage to Rodney E. “Dusty” Clark.

Along with her husband of sixty-one years, she is survived by three sons Rex E. married to Cindy (Mearkle), Bedford, PA; Randy L. married to Bobbi Jo (Robinson), Everett, PA; and Ryan K. married to Amanda (Hurd), Napoleon, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren Sara married to Brooks Sigel, Amanda married to Ethan Replogle, Rachel married to Gunnar Layton, Nate Clark, Audrey Clark, Kerrigan Clark, Isaac Clark, Thad Clark, Laura Clark, Renee Clark, Simon Clark, Esther Clark and Benjamin Clark; nine great grandchildren Aria Replogle, Gannon Replogle, Stella Layton, Birdie Sigel, Gracie Layton, Knox Replogle, Baylor Sigel, Berkley Sigel and Cooper Layton; sister Helen L. Mills, sister-in-law Linda Barkman and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings Warren C. Barkman, Sr., William L. Barkman, O. Lee Barkman and M. Deloris Colledge.

She was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1963.  She was a member of Christ Church of Bedford County, Everett.  Ruth was employed at the Everett Area School District as part of the cafeteria staff and later working as a medical secretary for Dr. Griffith and Dr. Conn. 

Ruth’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life.  She enjoyed cooking, canning and attending the sporting events of her children and grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Marshall Harbour officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Burial will be held at the Union Memorial Cemetery.
