Ronald Garthoff

Ronald Garthoff, 81, of Everett, PA; passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on November 15, 1943 in Altoona, PA; a son of the late Emory E. and Charlotte Evelyn (Dougherty) Garthoff.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Emma (Detrich) Garthoff and later married Kathy D. (Brant) Seek-Garthoff.

Along with his wife Kathy, he is survived by adopted daughter Theresa Lucinda Garthoff and two adopted grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by infant daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Garthoff.

He attended worship at Faith Heart Family Fellowship in Bedford.

Mr. Garthoff was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School Class of 1963.

Ron was a United States Navy Veteran.  He spent his career driving truck for thirty-two years and later worked at Fulton County Medical Center in the cafeteria.

Friends and Family will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.  Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home at 5:00 P.M. with Matthew Vollbrecht officiating.

Burial will be held privately at George Washington Cemetery, Adelphi, MD

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ronald to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
