Roger Morris Obituary

Roger R. Morris, 79, of Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025.  He was born on October 08, 1946 in Cumberland, MD; a son of the late Ralph C. and Vada (Barnes) Morris.  He was first married to Barbara (Wareham) Morris.  She preceded him in death on March 02, 2013.  He was currently united in marriage to Deborah C. Dicken.

Along with his wife Deb he is survived by a son Kenny Morris married to Rebecca; two grandchildren Tyler and Shelby and a brother Jimmy Morris and his fiancé Brenda, Osterburg, PA; and a stepdaughter Michele Siegele. 

Roger was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1964.  After high school he served in the United States Army from 1966 - 1968.  He worked in construction doing drywall throughout his career.

He grew up attending the Fairview Christian Church in Artemas, PA.  He was the Post Commander at the Artemas American Legion; a member and served as Adjutant at the Everett American Legion, the Post Commander for three terms at the V.F.W. in Breezewood; Active in the Everett Area Honor Guard and Treasurer of the Bedford County Veterans Association.  He enjoyed shooting pool and participating in pool leagues.

Friends and family will be received Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

The funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 1:00 P.M with Pastor Ron Hott officiating.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery with full military honors by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
