Robert L. Felton

Robert L. Felton, 96, of Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at home.  He was born on February 21, 1927 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Gustie and Loretta (Pee) Felton.  On July 25, 1953 in Winchester, VA; he was united in  marriage to Shirley L. (Winck) Felton.

Along with his wife of seventy years, he is survived by a daughter Sharon Waltman, a son-in-law Charlie Morral, grandchildren Heather (Morral) Trimeloni, Cory Waltman and girlfriend Lindsay Drake and Erica (Waltman) Furry married to Cory; great grandchildren Owen Trimeloni and Ella Furry; sister-in-law Marjorie (Hoover) Felton.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Linda (Felton) Morral and son-in-law Thomas Waltman; siblings: Leona Hoover (Jack), John Felton (Pauline), Helen Mellott (Elmer), Jim Felton, Velma Crawford (Bill) and brother in law Robert Winck (Agnes).

Bob was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1945.  He served in the United States Army from 1945-1946 as a Technician 4th Grade during World War II.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Everett.

Bob the Plumber as he would call himself, was employed with Gerald Clark Well Drilling for over thirty years.  Upon his retirement, he continued to make service calls into his 90’s.  He was blessed with an active and healthy life through his 96 years. He loved to go to his ground in Breezewood and work with his tractor and while at home he spent hours in his garage while socializing with the neighbors who all became like family. He had many friends young and older who he always called and kept in touch. His memory was amazing and could tell you names and family connections on the fly. He has books of genealogy which consumed hours of his time. Bob loved life and seldom was serious, never knowing what he was going to say next, but making you laugh was his goal.

Bob loved his family and loved his visits with the grandchildren. He has many nephews and nieces who were very special to him as he was to them. He was a big presence in those who knew him well and he will be truly missed.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Popp officiating.

Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery.
