Robert A. Colledge

Robert A. Colledge, 79, of Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on July 14, 1943 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Clyde A. and Janet W. (Foor) Colledge.  On December 2, 1963 in Winchester, VA; he married Janet K. (Shaffer) Colledge.  His death ended a marriage of fifty-nine years.

Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons, Mark A. Colledge of Everett; Todd A. Colledge married to Cathy (Smyers) of Breezewood, Toby A. Colledge married to Angela E. (McFarland) of Breezewood; two granddaughters Macey J. Mowry married to Darren and Brooke A. Colledge; one great great grandson Samuel A. Mowry; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, and siblings and their spouses Jack Colledge and Deloris, Wanda K. Conner and Gary “Gus”, and Gary D. Colledge.

He attended Everett Area High School and worked almost twenty five years for New Enterprise Stone and Lime as a welder in the shop at Roaring Spring Plant.  He only had one hand but he could keep up with the fellows with two hands.  He could fix most anything.  He was a jack of all trades and master of none.

Robert was affiliated with the Rays Cove Christian Church.  He was a member of the Everett Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. No. 524.  Bob enjoyed hunting and riding his four-wheeler with his dogs.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Smith officiating.

Burial will be held at Rays Cove Cemetery.
