Rebecca A. (Tenley) Boor

Rebecca Ann (Tenley) Boor, 70, passed away at her home in James Creek on Saturday, June 12, 2021 after an extended battle with cancer.

She was born on October 15, 1950 to parents Cornelius Tenley and Sylvia (Buseck) Houck, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded by her daughter Susanne Marie (Boor) Smith and a sister Judy (Tenley) Divelbiss.

She is survived by her husband Richard, son Spencer, grandson Colton Rhodes, brother David Tenley and three sisters Alane (Tenley) Gutheridge, Mary Lou (Houck) Kaminsky and Sherri (Houck) Cresswell.

Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family, her hobbies included making hand crafted designer dolls for family and friends and camping.

She was born in Huntingdon County and graduated from Rootstown High School in Ohio, and she attended Altoona Beauty School after moving back to the area.  Many in the community may remember her from her many years working with Jan at Jan’s Pet Grooming in Saxton.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 and on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Russellville Methodist Cemetery.
