Randy Means Obituary

Randy L. Means, 64, of West Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on May 19, 1957 in Everett, PA a son of the late Ralph L. and M. Isabelle (Foor) Means. 

He is survived by children Jessica Marsh married to Eric; Joe Means married to Amanda (Jezeskie) and Jennifer Miller married to Daniel; grandchildren Jordan Means; Jacob Marsh, Derek Marsh, Seth Jezeskie, Bradlee Means, Taryn Miller, Dalton Miller and Destiny Miller; great-grandson Beckett Cooper; brother Mike Means; best friend and caregiver Gail Karns and his loyal dog “Tippy”.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Terry and Kevin Means.

Randy was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1976.  After graduation he went on to serve in the United States Army.

Over the years Randy enjoyed hunting, racing and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Lew Button officiating.

Family and Friends will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held at Stevens Chapel Church Cemetery with full military honors by the Everett Area Honor Guard.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Means to the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center c/o Voluntary Services, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.  Donation payable to James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center.
