Paula C. Saunders

Paula C. Saunders, 55, of New Buena Vista, PA; passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after her eight year battle with cancer.  She was born on September 25, 1969 in Williamsburg, PA; a daughter of Barbara Lucille (Brooks) Kurtz of Altoona and the late Barthalomew Ronald Kurtz.

On June 7, 2008 in Altoona, PA; she was united in marriage to James E. Saunders.  He survives her along with siblings Cynthia Swope married to Charles, Johnathan Kurtz married to Debbie and Nathanial Kurtz married to Leah and numerous nieces and nephews.

She mainly spent her career working in the restaurant industry working in various capacities.

She had a love for animals and enjoyed knitting.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Wolf.

Burial will be held privately at the family property in New Beuna Vista.
