Paul Lashinsky Obituary

Paul Lashinsky, 93, of Enid Mountain Road, Six Mile Run, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Middletown Home, Middletown, PA.  He was born on October 2, 1928 in Wood, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Wasco and Eva (Warcholak) Lashinsky.  On September 9, 1950 in Port Huron, Michigan, he married Beulah E. (Mort) Lashinsky.  She preceded him in death on November 7, 2008.

He is survived by children Terry married to Linda (Eller), Hopewell, PA; Brenda Smith, Mechanicsburg, PA and daughter-in-law Cindy Lashinsky, Mechanicsburg, PA; special nephew Don Lashinsky married to Debbie; grandchildren Wendy Hess married to Travis, Rita Steele married to Ryan, Joy Long, Kelly Stone married to Dan, and Ashley Mann married to Joey; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son Daniel Lashinsky, son-in-law John Smith, granddaughter Becky Leader and he was the last of his living siblings John, Pete, Anna, Wasco, Helen, Mary, Harry, George and Steve.

Paul was a graduate of Robertsdale High School Class of 1947, where he played basketball, football and baseball.  After graduation he began to work in the coal mines for a brief period of time then eventually enlisted in the United States Army in July 1947 serving two years in Tokyo, Japan.  He entered as a mechanic and was discharged as a Corporal.  After serving our country Paul moved to Detroit, Michigan and worked for the Chrysler automobile Plant and was united in marriage to Beulah.

In 1957, they moved back home to Round Knob, where he then went to work as a Carpenter for the Union for twenty-seven years until his retirement.

He attended St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Wood and in his later years attended Round Knob Church of God.   He was a charter member of the Six Mile Run Volunteer Fire Company.

Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Musser officiating.

Friends may call at Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA, on Saturday, June 18, 20022 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held at Broad Top I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City.
