Paul Dicken, Jr., 82, of Rock Hill Church Road, Clearville, PA; went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 12, 1936; a son of the late Paul Dicken, Sr. and Catherine M. (Clark) Dicken in Clearville at the family home.
He was united in marriage to Emma V. (Stevey) Dicken on January 7, 1956. She preceded him in death in 2008.
He is survived by four daughters Deborah K. married to Dennis D. Yokum, Sr., Bedford PA; Shirley A. Stuckey, widow of Michael G. Stuckey, Everett, PA; Nancy J. Dicken, widow of Michael A. Schreiber, Crystal Spring, PA and Wanda Grimes, wife of James Grimes, Everett, PA; a son Jeffery Paul Dicken and wife Michelle; brother Roger Dicken, Clearville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a son Richard Dicken, daughter Donna V. (Dicken) Bussard, grandson Michael A. Bussard, sister Arlene and brother Victor Dicken.
He spent the majority of his working years driving tractor trailer hauling coal, oil and later retiring from Tri-County Bulk Milk Haulers in 2001.
He loved spending time working on Chevrolet vehicles and International Tractors and attending auctions. He enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR races, and Steelers football. He attended Pleasant Union Church as often as possible with family.
He will always be remembered as the best father and grandfather.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537. and on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Lyle Mellott officiating.
Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
