Patty Lou (Weimer) Diuguid

Patty Lou Diuguid, 87, of Summit Street, Everett, PA; went to her eternal home on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on September 10, 1935 in Everett, PA; the only daughter of the late Blair and Margaret (Cooper) Weimer. 

She is survived by her son Michael Smith, Everett; granddaughter Amanda Smith, Mechanicsburg; sister-in-law Patty Weimer and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Patty was preceded in death by her late husband William Diuguid, son Jeffery Smith; brothers Dempsey Weimer, Donald Weimer and James Weimer.

She was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1953.  She was employed as a secretary at the First National Bank of Everett until her retirement.  After retiring she worked part time at a local gift shop in Everett to keep herself busy. 

Patty enjoyed reading, watching tv game shows and spending time with her sweet dog Lulu.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Maxwell officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the Everett Cemetery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Patty to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
