Patricia A. (Hoover) Weist

Patricia A. Weist, 63, of West Graceville Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  She was born on January 26, 1959 in Roaring Spring; a daughter of Donald and Verneta (Gilson) Hoover.  On April 5, 1985 in Pine Grove Methodist Church in New Paris, she was united in marriage to Dwight L. Weist. 

Along with her husband, she is survived by children Adam Michael Weist married to Autumn of Bedford and Amanda Pearl Weist, Everett, and step son Daniel Weist, Six Mile Run; granddaughter Sophia Wilson; siblings Richard Hoover, Everett, Kenneth Hoover married to Janet, Arizona; Carol Hoover, Bedford and Larry Hoover married to Margaret, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by a step daughter-in-law: Ruthann Weist.

Pat was a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School Class of 1976 and attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Altoona.  She worked at Bedford Memorial Hospital and later the Home Nursing Agency throughout her nursing career.

She attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Breezewood.

Pat enjoyed needle crafting, reading her daily devotion, and spending time with her family.  She loved the family farm, where she enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and watching birds.

Friends and Family will be received on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Judith Simonson officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Bedford County Memorial Park.
