Nathan H. Steele

Nathan H. Steele, 55, of Polecat Hollow Road, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at UPMC Family Hospice Center, Pittsburgh, PA.  He was born on December 15, 1967 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Junior and Betty (Redinger) Steele.

He is survived by siblings Richard Steele married to Amanda, Fred Steele, Paulette Cooper, Joe Steele married to Mary and Brenda Sweeney married to Darrell and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Tom Steele.

Nathan attended Northern Bedford County School.

Nathan enjoyed fishing, watching football, and working on his puzzle books. He enjoyed going to Skills and the many activities that he participated in there.  He was happy being with his peers and enjoyed the many people that would stop and say hi and put a smile on his face. 

The family is thankful for the many groups and individuals who helped to make Nathan’s life a long and happy one. 

Special thanks to Dr. Baer and his staff, who have watched over Nathan to keep him active and healthy throughout his life.  Thanks also go out to the many caretakers and people who have spent time caring and encouraging Nathan in the many activities he participated in.

Friends and Family will be received on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 5-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Kirschner officiating.

Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
