Nancy R. Shank, 89, of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on January 27, 1936 in Gettysburg, PA; a daughter of the late Ira G. and Ruth Irene (Heagy) Fair. On November 25, 1956 in Gettysburg, PA she was united in marriage to Weldon B. Shank, Jr.
Along with her husband of sixty-eight years, she is survived by four sons Weldon B. Shank, III, Everett, PA; James E. Shank married to Cheryl (Verbal), Everett, PA; Joseph Shank married to Vicky (Verbal), Everett, PA; and Chris T. Shank married to Dana (Parson), Reedsville, PA; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; siblings James, Pat, Caroll, David, Dorothy and Mary.
She was preceded in death by twin sons Ronald and Rodney Shank, siblings Lucille, Dale, Robert, Fred, Nadine and Margaret.
Nancy was a member of the First Christian Church since moving back to Everett in 1963 and served as church treasurer for a number of years. She was an avid quilter, enjoyed baking and gardening.
She graduated from Fairfield High School Class of 1954 and worked as a secretary for the school after graduation for a period of time and enjoyed being at home raising her boys.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, June 02, 2025 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett from 4-7 P.M. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 03, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church with Reverend Robert R. Robertson officiating.
A Graveside Service will be held at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery, Emmitsburg, MD; on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to the First Christian Church, 57 Providence Street, Everett, PA.
