Nancy L. (Grimes) Pepple

Nancy Louise Pepple, 80, of Clear Ridge Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on February 25, 1943 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Simon and Edna (O’Shal) Grimes.  On June 20, 1961 in Winchester, Virginia; she was united in marriage to Roy M. Pepple.  He preceded her in death on December 30, 2013.

She is survived by her son Robert D. Pepple, Everett and two grandchildren Robert “Michael” Pepple married to Sarah (Reuter), Everett and Stephanie (Pepple) married to James Cosner, Everett; great grandchildren Conner, Ashlynne and Aubrey Pepple and Kyian and Ayden Cosner; siblings Richard Grimes, Betty Snyder, Janet Triplett, Robert Grimes, James Grimes, Beverly Diehl, Janie Pittman and Greg Grimes.

Nancy was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Carolyn Pepple and siblings Charlotte Brown and Simon Grimes, Jr.

She grew up attending church at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren.

Nancy worked at Lions Manufacturing in Everett and later as a cook at Marteen’s Family Restaurant.

She enjoyed watching television, reading, working puzzles, playing bingo, taking car rides and playing go fish.  She loved attending family cookouts, birthday parties, reunions and babysitting her grandchildren.

Friends and Family will be received on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 4-6 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor David Grimes officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Mt. Union Cemetery, Mench.
