Nancy Jane Enyeart, 89, peacefully passed away at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring, PA on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on December 15, 1934 in Stonerstown, PA to Charles Walter and Martha (Syster) Mellott. Nancy married Harry “Mike” McCahan Enyeart in Winchester, Virginia on August 12, 1954. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion in Saxton, PA.

She is survived by children Craig married to Theresa (Johnson), Bethel Park, PA, Sue married to J. Phillip Johnson, Saxton, PA; grandchildren Michael Enyeart married to Jessica, Ashley (Enyeart) married to William Temple, Jonathan Enyeart, Sarah Johnson and Christopher Johnson; great-grandchildren Lily, Ahnala, and Willow Temple; two sisters Annette Krider and Carol Lee Brinton and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Mike Enyeart and sisters Betty Jean Foreman and Ruth Mock.

Nancy was a member of Saxton United Methodist Church and a 1953 graduate of Saxton Liberty High School, where she was a majorette and basketball player. She briefly worked at Bell Telephone Company in Philadelphia. Soon after meeting her beloved husband at Happy Hollow, she began working at his family’s clothing store.

Known for her kindness, sense of humor and hard work, Nancy’s life was filled with varied interests and talents. She enjoyed hobbies such as golfing, gardening, bird watching, traveling, hiking, sewing, upholstery, ceramics, drawing, singing and more. Renowned for her cooking, her pies and cobblers were exceptional, and her pickled eggs were a holiday staple. From her role as a dedicated homemaker to operating Enyeart’s Men’s Store with her husband, she cherished simple pleasures with family and friends.

Nancy's care and support for her family and friends will be remembered, along with her infectious smile and laughter. She found joy in their triumphs, big and small, always offering enthusiastic praise. She leaves behind a legacy of love, happiness and compassion that will forever warm our hearts. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.
