Nancy M. Detwiler

Nancy M. Detwiler, 88, of Martinsburg formerly of Saxton, PA; passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Homewood at Martinsburg.  She was born on December 16, 1935 in Cresson, PA; a daughter of the late Edward J. and Biccola M. (Eberhart) McClosky.  On June 6, 1953 in Winchester, Virginia; she was united in marriage to Marion Laurence “Larry” Detwiler.  He preceded her in death on April 7, 2017.

She is survived by a daughter Theresa Marie Patrick married to John, Las Vegas, NV; grandson Jesse B. Patrick and his daughter, Emmilyn Marie; granddaughter Kayla  Patrick Dombrowski married to Alex and their daughter Olivia Marie; and a special friend Carol Linkous.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Caroline R. Rickeard and two infant sisters.

Nancy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley and enjoyed attending services at the Trinity United Church of Christ.  She enjoyed reading and taking care of her flowers.

A service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M.  at Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 with Pastor Jill Clawson officiating. 

Friends and Family will be received at the church on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held at Fockler Cemetery, Saxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, Saxton or the Hopewell/Saxton Food Pantry, 702 Main Street, Saxton, PA  16678.
