Nancy L. (Dunkle) Brown

Nancy L. (Dunkle) Brown, 78, of Everett, PA; passed away on October 30, 2025 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on May 16, 1947 in Bedford, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Edwin H. and Lela (Price) Dunkle.  On July 29, 1989 she was united in marriage to Terry J. Brown.

She is survived by daughter Tonya (Johnson) Uhlig married to Jeffrey of Texas; grandchildren Kayla (Zach) Reed, Rachel (Sean) Mariveles, Jacob Uhlig (Kendra), and Alyssa Uhlig; great grandchildren Atlas and Rose; step-children Holly (Wick) Brown, Chad Brown and Corey Brown (Tracey); and numerous step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Trent T. Johnson, and a brother Ray E. Dunkle.

Nancy was a graduate of Bedford High School.  She worked at Seton Manufacturing in Saxton for a number of years and most recently working at Goodwill.

She enjoyed cooking, finding new recipes, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and flowers.  She loved her family and grandchildren, often traveling to Texas.

Family and friends will be received at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.  

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating.

Burial will be held at Ritchey Cemetery.
