Myron Wilt Obituary

Myron D. Wilt, 90, of Breezewood, passed away on January 2, 2021, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born in Breezewood, a son of the late Daniel R. and Thelma Dewey (Sprowl) Wilt. On October 20, 1953 he married H. Jean Hixson at the Everett Church of the Brethren.

She survives along with four daughters: Pamela J. Wilt, C. Elaine Wilt, and Janie L. May, married to Kenneth May all of Breezewood, and Jennifer L. Goodsite of Alpharetta, GA. married to Thomas Goodsite. He also leaves behind, grandchildren, Justin Barkman and his wife Amanda, Rebecca Leader and her husband Jeremy, Drew Barkman and his wife Kristen, Jessica Grove and her husband Jim, Kyle May and his fiance Carolyn, Bryce Goodsite and Rhese Goodsite, and great grandchildren Sidric and Tyson Grove, Kiera and Eva Leader, Tyler and Page Barkman, Owen May and Vander Barkman; brother Duane C. Wilt and wife Majorie (Ferguson) Wilt of Everett and sister–in-law Othetta (Barkman) Wilt of Everett.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Victor D. Wilt, Beuford J. Wilt and Derril K. “Tucker” Wilt.

Mr. Wilt was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Breezewood where he had served on the church council and was responsible for the cemetery.

He was a member of the New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company Quarter Century Club, a member of the Breezewood Lions Club and was an avid supporter of the Breezewood Volunteer Fire Company Turkey Dinners.

He never met a stranger. He loved farming and Crystal Springs Camp Meeting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

The family wishes to thank First Choice in Home Care and Caregiver Paul Peck.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with burial following at Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
