Lance Corporal, USMC (Ret.) Michael Jay Wyles was born in Abington, PA on April 22, 1974. He is the son of Michelle (Maslanik) Wyles, of James Creek and the late John R. Wyles Jr.
Along with his mother Michelle Wyles, he is survived by a sister Michelle “Missy” Wyles Nestor married to Chris and nephews Ethan and Brandon, of Mechanicsburg. He is greeted in heaven by his father John, his great-grandparents Thomas and Elizabeth Risbon of Saxton, grandparents Michael and Margaret Maslanik of Saxton, cousin Casey Lane of York, SC, and beloved friend, Joyce Satterfield of Saxton.
Michael had a contagious smile and was loved by everyone he met. He had a sweet spirit and loved to tell jokes. He was an avid fisherman and could not wait till opening day every year for trout season. He loved 4-wheeling, slalom water skiing and listening to his favorite music.
He attended Tussey Mountain High School and later graduated in 1992 from Huntingdon Area High school. Following graduation, he attended Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma prior to enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1993. His honors were a National Service Defense medal and 2-time Rifle Expert badge. He was honorably discharged with full retirement disability.
Michael loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is now with his heavenly father and his body is made new. God said "I gave you life on April 22, 1974, and now I want you home on April 22, 2025". Michael's love languages were quality time and gifts. He was a gift-giving person, and his nephew Brandon remembers and said, "Uncle Michael always gave good gifts". He also loved to share the Word of God with anyone who would listen. Matthew 4:19, perfectly describes Michael's walk with the Lord,
And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men"

A poem for Michael, written by Deborah Lane:
My journey has not ended, it has just begun,
I'm walking now in heaven with God's only Son.
The torment now is over; freedom is now mine.
I've gazed into my Savior's eyes, with love oh how they shine.
He took my hand and led me to my eternal place, I now walk in freedom because of Jesus' grace.
Do not grieve for me, rejoice in all God has done.
I am now perfect residing with God's son.
