Michael C. Mondy, Jr.

Michael C. Mondy, Jr., of Everett, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at the Village at Morrisons Cove in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania. He was 85 years old.

Born on January 14, 1941, in Conneaut, Ohio, Michael was the son of the late Michael C. Mondy, Sr. and Harriet Clark.  He grew up with strong values of hard work, family, and service—qualities that guided him throughout his life. He graduated from Everett Area High School in 1960 and was very active in planning class reunions over the years.

Shortly after graduation, Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964, stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His service reflected his deep sense of patriotism and commitment to others.

On April 15, 1961, Michael married the love of his life, Jeannette (Fungaroli) Mondy. Together, they shared 65 devoted years of marriage.

Michael was a skilled welder by trade and dedicated 36 years of his career to Kennametal in Bedford, Pennsylvania. His strong work ethic and craftsmanship earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of work, Michael had a passion for restoring antique and classic cars. He took great pride in bringing history back to life through his meticulous attention to detail, a hobby that brought him both joy and a sense of accomplishment.

Michael was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannette Mondy; his four children: Anthony Mondy of Everett, Pennsylvania; Georgia Branson and her husband James of Canton, Georgia; John Mondy and his wife Misty of Mars, Pennsylvania; and Michael Mondy, III and his wife Anne of Columbia, Maryland. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Joseph, Samuel, Jacob, and Abigail, who brought him immense joy.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Mondy of Conneaut, Ohio. He is also survived by his brothers, Roy Clark and Ira Clark, both of Everett, Pennsylvania.

Michael will be remembered as a friend to all and for his ability to fix anything with his skillful hands. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who loved him and the many memories shared by family and friends.
