Michael Pittman Obituary

On Monday, July 26th, 2021 the Pittman family lost their hero in a tragic work accident.

Michael Robert Pittman “Magic”, age 33, was born May 15, 1988 in Bedford, PA and graduated from Everett Area High School in 2006. Mike resided in Beans Cove, PA with his beautiful family. He was a journeyman for the Iron Workers Union, Local #568 and foreman for G & R Mineral Services. Mike will be greatly missed and remembered by his wife Kaitlyn, son Dakota, daughter Emma, and many more family and friends. Mike devoted his life to provide for his family that he loved deeply. Mike and Kaitlyn were more than high school sweethearts, they started their journey together in middle school and have been inseparable for the past 18 years. Early in their relationship the couple drew out a dream property and wrote across the top of the paper “Pittman Acres”. Just three years ago that dream came true and they were able to build “Pittman Acres” with the help of their children.  Mike was so proud of acquiring this property and fulfilling that dream from a little drawing made so many years ago.

Mike loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed weekends at BPG Motocross Track, being the one-man pit crew for his son’s race quad. He cherished his daughter and could never tell her no. He begrudgingly became his daughter’s personal stable boy for the start of her horsemanship journey. He loved and took pride in watching and supporting his children in any and all of their activities. Mike spent his last weekend at home visiting family and old friends.

Mike was a great friend to so many. He had the biggest heart and was willing to drop everything to help a friend. He was never one to turn down a good time and was always ready for a campfire and a beer with friends.

A note from the family: There are so many stories and things we could write here to tell you how Mike was the best person we knew, but there is not enough paper on earth. He loved bigger than anyone and was not afraid to show it. We are so glad God put him in our lives, the life we shared albeit extremely too short, we will be forever grateful.

This man, an adoring husband, a tremendous father, a reliable brother, an ornery son, and an unforgettable friend to so many, will be missed more than words can even begin to describe.
