Melissa Ann (Mears) Wyles

Melissa A. (Mears) Wyles, 65, of Saxton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday March 24, 2024. She was born on August 26, 1958 in Huntingdon; a daughter of the late Robert D. and Dolores A. “Sis” (Baughman) Mears. On July 2, 1977 she was united in marriage to William E. Wyles.

Along with her husband she is survived by her children Mandi Foor married to Bradley of Everett, PA, Ashley Heeter married to Ryan of Saxton, PA and Tyson Wyles married to Kayla of Export, PA; grandchildren Ryleigh and Karlee Foor, Finley Heeter, Jaxon and Olivia Wyles; sister Cynthia Watkins married to Thomas; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1976.

Melissa spent her working years working at Quality Manufacturing, Seton, Blank Book, NPC, Sheetz Distribution, Saxton Market and having just retired in November of 2023 from Green Leaf Medical LLC.

She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren, family picnics and campfires. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, “MeMe” and friend. She had the gift of gab and never met a stranger.   

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 5-6 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, Inc., 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Melissa’s life will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024

at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Rob Reed officiating.
