Maxine Bollman Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maxine (Stiffler) Bollman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on January 9, 2026. She was born July 16, 1933 to George and Leone Stiffler of Everett, and lived 92 beautiful years in Bedford County. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Loren, Ray and Clyde Stiffler, a sister Lorna Clark, and numerous other family members.

She is survived by her sister Gaye Clark, daughter, Penny Foster, wife of Terry Foster, granddaughter Megan N. Foster, step granddaughter Brandi Lehman wife of Jeffrey Lehman and their sons Bradley and Jacob, great grand-dog Mollie Foster, special sister in-law Darlene Wareham, brother-in-law Terry Wareham, and many other treasured family and friends.  She attended Everett High School, worked for many years at Lyons Sewing Factory and was a former proprietor of the Village News in Bedford. She spent most of her days caring for her family.

Maxine believed dessert was the most important meal of the day, midnight snacks were a must and made sure to have plenty of sweet treats available for her friends and family. She loved puzzles, games and crafts, and was known for listening to her favorite gospel tunes. The kitchen was where she shined, and her recipes reflected the skills she learned from her mom. She enjoyed being outside, working in the garden or sitting on the front porch in the fresh air.  She will be remembered for her quick wit, unwavering dedication to her family, unbreakable spirit and her famous peanut butter fudge. When her loved ones needed someone to make them laugh, it was her they would reach out to. Her daughter Penny was her pride and joy, and her granddaughter Megan was her sidekick. She spent her life supporting both of their dreams, showing up to every event with her hair in her signature perm.

To know Maxine was to love her. She was our rock and our strength.  She will be so deeply missed.
