Mary Louise Simmons, 96, a resident of Colonial Courtyard, Bedford, Pa.; passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021.  She was born on May 25, 1924; a daughter of the late James and Mary (Kegg) Hershberger.

On October 28, 1956 she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Simmons, who preceded her in death July 8, 2008.

Mary Louise Simmons, 96, a resident of Colonial Courtyard, Bedford, Pa.; passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021.  She was born on May 25, 1924; a daughter of the late James and Mary (Kegg) Hershberger.

On October 28, 1956 she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Simmons, who preceded her in death July 8, 2008.  

Mary Louise was preceded in death by siblings Berniece Pepple, Rebecca Mae O’Neal, Sara E. England, James S. Hershberger and infant brother Charles Hershberger.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law Barb Hershberger.

She was a 1943 graduate of Everett High School and worked for a short time at Lion Manufacturing in Everett, Pa.

Louise and Dick lived their married life in Boswell, Pa. surrounded by many loving neighbors and friends.  In 2009 she moved to Colonial Courtyard in Bedford, Pa.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ Everett and also attended Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ in Boswell.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.

Private burial will be made at the Bethel Cemetery.
