Mary Jane G. Swindell

Mary Jane G. Swindell, 64, of  Old Woods Road, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at UPMC Bedford Hospital.  She was born on May 21, 1955 in Lock Haven, PA; a daughter of Dorothy (Immel) Greninger and companion R. James Walters, Mill Hall, PA; and the late Hale Heltman Greninger.  On December 1, 1977 in Bedford, PA she was united in marriage to Terry D. Swindell.

Along with her mother and husband she is survived by children Nicole Dole-Gonzalez married to Carlos, Harrisburg, PA and Michelle Swindell and fiancé Michael Weigle, Everett, PA; grandchildren Vince Morningstar, Haley Morningstar, Evan Dole-Gonzalez, and Miah Snyder; siblings Sandy Rimmey married to Jim; Nancy Eischeid married to Jerry; Susan Peters and partner James Bechdel, Sr. and James Greninger married to Brenda.

Mrs. Swindell was a graduate of the Bald Eagle Nittany High School. She worked in maintenance at Pennknoll Village for over twenty years until her retirement. 

Mary Jane formerly attended the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church  where she was a Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed tending to her flowers and gardening.  She was also an animal enthusiast and enjoyed flying kites, fishing, camping and just being outdoors.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 with Pastor Mike Benner Officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Akers Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
