Mary Elizabeth Keim-Botterill

Mary E. Keim-Botterill, 99, of Cypher, PA; passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born on September 15, 1923 in Cypher, PA a daughter of the late Karl Luke and Lavinia (Hall) Besser.  She was united in marriage to Arnold Frederick Keim, Jr.  He preceded her in death on January 18, 1969. 

She is survived by her daughter Karen (Keim) Flowers, Raleigh, NC; and two grandchildren Amber Croix Grant and John Patrick Skinner.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Arnold F. Keim III.

She was a member of the Bedford Forge United Methodist Church where she was a pianist and organist for many years.  

Mary was a graduate of Youngstown University with a Bachelors of Arts in Music.  She taught band and chorus at the Robert P. Smith High School.

She was also a business woman, and a partner in Keim’s Grocery in Cypher.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Smith officiating.

Friends and Family will be received at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 1:30 P.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held privately at Grandview Cemetery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the American Cancer Society.
